*Please call Tech support if you are not familiar with the Windows Registry Editor this tool should only be used by those with knowledge of how to back the registry up and restore it ifthere is a mistake made while editing.

This error occurs during the start up of Realtime and the data path to the License file is incorrect, is in a protected area which the user does not have read/write permissions, or simply does not exist.

First is to verify the permissions of the location are set for the user to have full control of the whole directory with the .LIC and all child folders. If these settings are correct then move on to verifying that Realtime is looking in the correct place.

This is a simple, verify that Realtime is looking in the correct place by using the RUN line to start the Registry Edit tool; type Regedit in the Run box which will start the editor.

Next navigate to key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sundial Time Systems.

Here is what the keys will look like:

In the Install Data Key rightclick on the DataDir entry line and edit the path if it is not correct. Close Regedit and open Realtime.

This should have fixed the issue, if not then get with your Network Admin to verify that you do have full permissions to the Data Root location (DataDir).

If above resolutions do not work please have your IT contact Sundial Support.
