Quick Punch
Open PC Punch with the Blue dot Icon and you will see the following application launch. This is the Punch Clock application for employees to punch in and out.
Before any employees can make a punch we need to insure the application is attached to the correct database.
To do this, right click the area where the date and time is displayed. This will bring the 'Configure' Context Menu up as you see here in this example.Select the 'Set Database Path'
Select the 'Set Database Path' to open the select database dialog screen.
You now will have the browser window open and it should display the default database location for the computer whereQuickPunch was installed. If this is not the correct location for your environment, then browse to the correct folder where your RealTime Standard database is stored.
The RealTime Standard database is always named RT4Data.mdb.
Click on OPEN and you are set.
The dialog window will close and you can make a test punch by using a valid "Badge ID" from the Employees you have added to your RealTime Standard.
If Quick Punch has been correctly associated with the RealTime Standard database file, you will get the words 'Thank You' displayed on the screen.
