Start Of Day

The first punch after the specificed time is expected to start a new work shift. If a Time of Day is entered here, it will prevent a work shift from crossing it.

Rounding

These items are not required

General

Specify a desired Rounding Rule to be applied to every punch that has not been adjusted by another rule. Rounding adjusts the time to the nearest increment of the selected amount. Amounts that can be divided evenly will advance at the halfway point.

Example:

  • 6 minute rounding
    • 0, 1 and 2 round down
    • 3, 4 and 5 round up

Shift Start

Trim: Specify the number of minutes prior to the scheduled start time that the employee can clock in early, but will not be included in their time calculations.

Grace: Specify the number of minutes after the scheduled start time that the employee can clock in late, but will be paid as though the punch were timely.

Fallback Trim: Specify the trim increment for punches that arrive outside of the Trim and Grace rules. This amount always advances to the next increment of the specified minutes.

Shift End

Trim: Specify the number of minutes after the scheduled end time that the employee can clock out late, but will not be included in their time calculations.

Grace: Specify the number of minutes before the scheduled end time that the employee can clock out early, but will be paid as though the punch were timely.

Fallback Trim: Specify the trim increment for punches that arrive outside of the Trim and Grace rules. This amount always decreases to the previous increment of the specified minutes.

Autolunch

These items are not required

Lunch After Specify the amount of time that the employee must work in a shift before deducting and Automatic Lunch Deduction. This will not happen if an actual Lunch Period exists in the shift

Deduct Amount Specify the amount of time to deduct when the Autolunch conditions are met.

Lunch

These items are not required

Within Specify the maximum Off Clock time that will be treated as a Lunch Break. This rule will convert Auto and Out punch types to a Lunch Leave and convert Auto and In punch types to a Lunch Return.

Min Specify the minimum lunch period required. Off clock periods less than this amount will be expanded, taking time from the next On Clock segment of time, to meet this minimum amount.

Grace Specify the maximum amount of time beyond the Min that an employee can be Off the Clock and have the lunch period be calculated as the Min length. This will add appropriate minutes to the next On Clock segment of time. Use of a Grace Amount is meaningless if there is no Minimum time specified

Paid Portion Specify the amount of time that is a Paid Lunch. Default is None (unpaid)

Break

These items are not required

Within Specify the maximum Off Clock time that will be treated as a Rest Break. This rule will convert Auto and Out punch types to a Break Leave and convert Auto and In punch types to a Break Return.

Paid Portion Specify the amount of time that is a Paid Break. Default is All. Breaks that exceed the paid portion will be paid only to the limit of this amount.

Scheduled Days

These items are not required

Note 1: If you have a Custom Length Schedule, you will be able to add and remove days to your schedule cycle.

Note 2: You can reorder days by dragging them to the position you want them.

Opt Check this box if the day is Optional. Marking this day optional will prevent it from appearing as an Absence in the Attendance Report.

Start Specify the desired Shift Start Time

End Specify the desired Shift End Time

AL Overrides use these amounts to override the Schedule Autolunch Rules on the specific day. This can be used to prevent an Autolunch deduction, generate an Autolunch dedution, or change the rules of the how and Autolunch is generated on any given day.

  • After Specify the minimum amount of time that must be worked before an Autolunch is deducted.
  • Deduct Specify the amount of time to deduct when the Autolunch is created.
