Because the current Pay Rate is stored with each punch record, making a changed Pay Rate retroactive requires adjusting the rate on any existing punch records.
Since Pay Rates can be affected by Tracking Level Assignments, we can use the "Assign Tracking Levels" tool to quickly set retroactive rates.
NOTE: The Tracking Level Assignments functions make changes to Tracking Levels and Rates that cannot be instantly reverted. If you make mistakes, you may need to make corrections at individual records.
- Ensure that the correct rate is set in the Employee Record and/or Tracking Level Rate Override Rules
- From the Timecards area, click Assign Tracking Levels on the right to open the "Bulk Assign Tracking Levels" screen
- Select the Employees that need adjustment
- Select the Types of Records to Adjust (Punches are selected by default. Select/deselect each type as needed)
- Specify the Date Range to Adjust
- Ensure that Adjust Pay Rate is selected
- Click the button to Assign Tracking Levels
