RT3.5 has 2 faster Manual Entry options
Quick Entry
"Quick Entry" the user specified the Date and Start Time, then selects an Employee (and optionally, Dept and Job) and then enters the number of hours needed. Clicking Save will update the Time accordingly to the next appropriate entry
For example, if the start time is 8:00 and the punch is 2 hours, the time will update to 10:00 for the next entry
Each time you click save, it makes a new Complete Punch that starts at the desired time and ends teh specified number of hours later
Changing Dates or Employees reverts the Time to the last User Entered value. This means that if you specified 8:00 AM and 8 hours and save, the Time will update to 16:00, but if you select a new Date or Employee, it will revert to 8:00 Again
Rapid Entry
"Rapid Entry" is to help people with a small Tab Friendly entry system
Specify the Badge ID, then tab to Date In, then tab to Time In, then tab to Time Out, then Tab again goes to the next line, Date In field
If you simply make an entry in the Date In field, the previous Employee ID is auto filled, or you can Mouse Click to change the Employee ID. If both the Times are used, a Complete punch is created, of only one time field is used, then an IN or OUT record is created. On leaving the Date In field, the Date Out field is auto filled. If the Time Out is less than the Time In, the Date Out is advanced a day. Or they can be manually edited.
The way this is designed to be used is
Enter ID, tab, Date, tab, Time, tab Time tab (new line) Next Date and repeat, then Click Employee ID when ready to change to the next employee and proceed
