If you would like your clock or your employees to link specific tracking codes to the punches received then need to tell RealTime what codes to assign and, if your employee is specifying a code, when Tracking Level to use for those entries.
This is done in each individual Clock Configuration...
Start by navigating in your Timekeeper software to Setup >> Communications. Now Select and Edit the Clock Configuration to see the list of available clocks
Now Edit the individual clock record(s) you need to work with to set up the Tracking Level assignment and Override.
If the "Clock overridable" level does not contain an employee entered value, the the software will apply the Tracking Item specified by the Dropdown entry
