The Lunch Compliance Report is a specialized report designed to show any employee that has worked beyond a Max length of time, without having a minimum contiguous period of non-worked time (meal break)
To do this, the report examines individual shift segments, and shows the entire shift if it fails to have the minimum break period.
Because shifts can occur in close proximity, the report calculation also continues forward from the previous shift if there was insufficient break time between them
So, assuming that the properties are set for:
Threshold Amount: 6:00
Minimum Break: 0:30
Examples:
NOTE 1: Shifts with RED text will get included in the report.
NOTE 2: The Entire Shift is included in the report when any part of it fails to meet the criteria
If someone works an 8 hour shift and takes their lunch at 6 hours, the shift will be excluded
08:00 -> 14:00 = 6:00
14:00 -> 14:30 = 0:30
14:30 -> 16:30 = 2:00
If someone works an 8 hour shift and takes a short lunch, the shift will be included
08:00 -> 12:00 = 4:00
12:00 -> 12:29 = 0:29 (Does not meet Minimum)
12:29 -> 16:30 = 4:01
If someone works an 8 hour shift, but takes their lunch after 6 hours, the shift will be included
08:00 -> 14:05 = 6:05 (Exceeds Threshold)
14:05 -> 14:35 = 0:30
14:35 -> 16:30 = 1:55
If someone works an 8 hour shift, but takes their lunch early, and the later part of the shift is long, the shift will be included
08:00 -> 09:59 = 1:59
09:59 -> 10:29 = 0:30
10:29 -> 16:30 = 6:01(Exceeds Threshold)
If someone works a long shift, each section must comply with the criteria to be excluded and may require multiple breaks
07:00 -> 13:00 = 6:00
13:00 -> 13:30 = 0:30
13:30 -> 19:30 = 6:00
19:30 -> 20:00 = 0:30
20:00 -> 21:00 = 1:00
If someone works a long shift, but only part of the shift complies, it will be included
07:00 -> 12:00 = 5:00
12:00 -> 12:30 = 0:30
12:30 -> 19:30 = 7:00 (Exceeds Threshold)
19:30 -> 20:00 = 0:30
20:00 -> 21:00 = 1:00
If someone works otherwise compliant Double Shifts, both are considered for establishing compliance, but only the shift in violation will be included
07:00 -> 11:00 = 4:00
11:00 -> 11:30 = 0:30
11:30 -> 15:30 = 4:00
>> Insufficient Break Between Shifts <<
15:30 -> 19:30 = 4:00 (4 hours in previous shift, plus these 4 hours, exceeds threshold)
19:30 -> 20:00 = 0:30
20:00 -> 00:00 = 4:00
If someone works 2 shifts with sufficient break between, neither will be included.
06:00 -> 10:00 = 4:00
10:00 -> 10:30 = 0:30
10:30 -> 14:30 = 4:00
>> Sufficient Break Between Shifts <<
15:00 -> 19:00 = 4:00
19:30 -> 20:00 = 0:30
20:00 -> 00:00 = 4:00
