If your Faceprint Clock forgets the Date and/or Time during a power outage, then the internal clock battery is probably very weak.

To replace the battery, you will need to open the case, remove the battery, verify that you have the correct replacement, install the replacement and re-assemble the clock.

Steps:
  1. Power down and disconnect power cord
  2. Remove from wall (one screw in center on bottom)
  3. Remove 4 screws in Case
  4. Separate case carefully - do not tug the wires.

On the mainboard there is a small battery (about the size of a dime) in a plastic ring.

There is a slit in one side of the ring.

Using a toothpick or similar, the battery will pop right out.

The one in the pictures is a 3V CR1220 - I assume yours will be as well.

Replace the battery with a new one, flat side on top.  You should be able to slide it in and press it into place with your fingertip.

Re-assemble the case, being careful not to pinch any cables
Re-attach the 4 case screws
Reconnect cables
Attach to wall
Power up.

It will have the wrong time when it powers up, but if you have an internet connection, it should update to the correct time shortly.

Replacing the battery should prevent the clock from switching to an incorrect time and date if there is a Power Failure or Internet Interruption
