Timekeeping during the COVID-19 crisis

Cleaning and Disinfecting Time Clocks
Many of our clients are utilizing clocks that are regularly touched by the employees. The fingerprint scanners, keypads, and touch screen displays of the devices need to be regularly cleaned and disinfected. Common, household strength, disinfecting wipes and disinfectant cleaners can be used on all current clocks.

Please review this article for detailed information on cleaning and cleaners:

Note: Early model fingerprint clocks with a rubberized fingerprint reader are damaged by chemical cleaners and should only be cleaned with adhesive tape or a cloth dampened with water or mild dish detergent.

Try Proximity RFID instead of Fingerprints
Nearly all Fingerprint clocks and all Facial Recognition clocks also support Proximity RFID badges and tags.  Proximity credentials can be read by the clock without actually touching the device.  If you are interested in implementing this technology as a fingerprint alternative during this urgent time, please reach out to your account manager or your Sundial support contact.

Work at Home employees
Many companies are implementing Work at Home policies for employees and positions that are able. In you aren't already using them, remember that your account includes the WebConnect and Sundial Mobile Punch. These two tools can be used by your Work at Home staff for tracking time, including job costing when needed. These products can be used in conjunction with all other clock options and are included in your service at no additional cost.
