DASHBOARD

Dashboard is the default landing page for Timekeeper. It gives you a snapshot of the current status and hours for your employees.

Dashboard is also where you go to export timecards.

Filter

You can quickly find an employee in a long list by typing any part of their name in this field. Click the "x" to clear the filter box.

Quick Filter

You can quickly filter your employee list to a specified group of employees (e.g., Department, Location, etc.). The drop-down box will consist of the list of items for a single Tracking Level, plus [all] and [unassigned].

To learn how to set up Quick Filter, see Realtime Web - Set up Quick Filter.

Alerts

Here, you will see the number of pending Time Off Requests awaiting your approval or denial.

Tasks

After the end of each pay period, you will correct all Exceptions on your employees' timecards, or look up Timecard Sign-Offs, then generate and download an export file for your payroll software.

To learn how to set up an export file format, go to Helpdesk : Sundial Time Systems

To learn how to generate and save an export file, go to How do I export time cards?

Who's In / Not In

To the left of each employee's name, you will see a green dot indicating that the employee is currently clocked in and working, or a white dot, indicating that they are currently off the clock.

By clicking on the green and white dot in the column header, you can filter your employee list to only those who are IN (green), then only those who are OUT (white), and then back to showing both (green and white).

OT warning threshold

The OT warning threshold is a drop-down box with values from 0 to 10. This represents the number of hours before overtime pay starts for each employee.

The white bar to the right of each employee represents the current overtime period (usually a 40-hour week).

The number in the middle of that bar is the total number of hours the employee has accrued during that time.

The green bar, starting from the left side, represents the overtime eligible hours for the overtime week.

Once these hours pass the OT warning threshold (e.g., 35 hours for a standard 40-hour week with a 5-hour warning), the bar will turn yellow to let supervisors know their employee is close to earning overtime.

Once the employee has started to earn overtime based on the weekly hours, the bar will be red.

Exceptions

To the right of each employee's name, you will see a red dot if the employee has an exception on their timecard for the current pay period. There are no white dots for this column.

By clicking on the red and white dot in the column header, you can filter y our employee list to only those who have exceptions (red), then only those without exceptions (white), and then back to showing both (red and white).

Warn if Worked

To the right of the exceptions filter, you will see a yellow and white dot. Under that dot, you will see a yellow warning dot if the employee has an entry of an hours type with the warning enabled, on a day they clocked in for work. There are no white dots for this column.

To learn how to enable warn if worked warnings, see Timekeeper - Setup - Hours/Monetary.
