Clock Menu Selection: Personalize >> Punch State Options >> Punch State Mode
There are 6 choices of Punch State Mode and not a lot of detail on how they work.
Off
- This setting disables the Punch State in the clock.
Manual Mode
- User manually selects a Punch Type to clock.
- Punch State Timeout(s) - This is the number of seconds that a selected Punch State will remain selected
- Punch Stare Required - See Below
Auto Mode
- Fully automated Punch State selection, based on Switch Time as specified in Shortcut Key Mappings. User cannot manually select an alternate Punch State.

Manual and Auto Mode
- The default state is selected automatically based on Switch Time specified in Shortcut Key Mappings. User May select an Alternate Punch State and perform their punch
- Punch State Timeout(s) - This is the amount of time, in seconds, that a User Selection remains active. once the timeout occurs, the Punch State returns to the default based on Switch Time

Manual Fixed Mode
- The previously selected Punch State remains selected. Users may accept the previously used Punch State by simply punching, or may select an alternate Punch State as their needs dictate.

Fixed Mode
- The Punch State is specified when selecting this mode and it remains selected for all punches.

- Fixed Punch State - Select the State you want shown or Undefined
Punch State Required
Yes - If the user validates before selecting a Punch State, the clock will pause and require selection before proceeding.
No - If the user validates without selecting a Punch State, the clock will proceed uninterrupted.
