Removing All Punch Data

Details and Explanation:

First, let's make sure that RT Web has all the current punches.  If you need the punches and the clock is not connecting to the internet / delivering punches, copy them to a flash drive before continuing.

Then, go to the clock and navigate to Menu > System > Data Mng, and select Delete ATTLOG.

his will clear the punches from the clock's memory so it can continue collecting more.

Quick Info - Menu Location:

Menu > System > Data Mng > Delete ATTLOG

Z01:

Menu >> Options >> System Opt >> Adv Option >> Del AttLogs

****

Realtime Web

Send the command "DelRecord with a Value of 10000 and a reboot. This will delete the oldest 10,000 punch records.

Setup > Communications > [clock group] > Clock Tools

  1. Clocks: Put checkmark in clock(s)
  2. Set Clock Option > Option : DelRecord
  3. Value : 10000

DelRecord does not work on New Generation Firmware - for New Gen, we need "LoopDeleteLog" and we know that "20000" is an acceptable value for LoopDeleteLog

  1. Click Set Option.
  2. Warning - "You could put clocks in an unworking state. Continue?" Click OK.
  3. Clock Commands > Reboot
  4. Reboot Clocks - "You are about to reboot selected clocks. Do you wish to continue?" Click OK.
  5. Click Close.
  6. Click Cancel.

Additional Controls

One more factor that can help with Memory Management is to reduce the Attendance Log Capacity and pair that with an effective DelRecord setting, such as:

  • Option:
    ~MaxAttLogCount
  • Value:
    3

Then

  • Option:
    DelRecord
  • Value:
    10000

Details and Explanation:

~MaxAttLogCount sets the Max Size of the Attendance Log using {value} X 10,000 logic.  Once the clock hits the Max, the oldest {DelRecord Quantity} are automatically removed.  In the example above, the clock will store punches up until the Max value of 30,000 stored punches, then will automatically delete the oldest 10,000, leaving the newest 20,000 in the clock

For newer clocks:

  • Set Clock Option > Option:
    LoopDeleteLog
  • Set Clock Option > Value:
    {max supported (actual number, e.g., 10000)}

Followed by Reboot
