Clock Settings (For the Clock Admin)

Note - This article targets the Monochrome Fingerprint and Monochrome Proximity devices

You will want to know what the desired IP Address and Gateway Address will be for the clock.  Once you know those items, you can set them using the clock menu as described below


1) Navigate to Comm Opt Menu

Press "Menu"
Select "Options"
Select "Comm Opt"


2) IP Address
Select "IP Addr"
Modify the values as needed, using the arrow keys to move between the fields
Press "OK" to apply the changes


3) Gateway Address
Select "Gateway"
Modify the values as needed, using the arrow keys to move between the fields
Press "OK" to apply the changes


4) Save
Press "ESC" to leave the Comm Opt menu
It will alert you that changes have been made and request authorization to Save

Press "OK" to commit the changes to the Clock
Restart the clock for the changes to take effect.



Router Settings (For the IT People)
If you have a Wide Area Network (WAN)...

Then the main office should be able to connect to the clock using the IP Address specified above

If you will connect through the internet...
Port 4370 (both TCP/IP and UDP protocols) needs to be directed to the Private IP of the clock (Port Forwarding in your router)
Inform the main office what the Public IP is for this location (www.whatismyip.com)
Optionally, allow Telnet (port 23) to reach the clock


RealTime Communication Settings (For RealTime Software Admin)
Add this clock to the "Call" list - Specify the private (WAN) or Public (Internet) IP Address
Use the "Selected" option to call this clock
