A Manager, or Supervisor user with proper permissions, can add, edit, or delete entries on an employee's time card from Dashboard, Timecards, or Timecard Sign-Offs.


Adding


  1. Select the employee whose time card you want to add an entry to. Click View, or double-click on the line with the employee's name.
  2. Select the date range to include the day you want to add an entry to.
  3. Scroll down to the day you want to add an entry to, and click the "+" symbol on the blue line.
  4. The default Transaction Type is an Auto punch. If you wish to add another type of entry, click on the gray box next to Transaction Type with "Auto," and make your selection from Punches, Hours, or Monetary.

    1. For punches, double-check the date, enter the time you want to add, and double-check the other settings and make changes as necessary.

    2. For Hours, enter the beginning and end dates of the dates you want to add hours to. If you only want to add hours to one day, leave the second box blank.



    3. For Monetary, enter the beginning and end dates of the dates you want to add monetary amounts to. If you only want to add an amount to one day, leave the second box blank.



  5. For all three entry types, your employee's default Tracking Level items will be selected. Select a different item if you want the entry tracked under a different category. (E.g., the employee's hours should be tracked under a different department.)
  6. Leave a Note, if needed, and click "Resolved," if the issue brought up by the note does not require further attention.
  7. Click "Save" to finish, or "Save & New" if you wish to add another entry.


Editing


To edit a punch, hour entry, or monetary entry, select the entry from the employee's time card and double-click, or click on the edit icon on the right side of the entry, to the left of the trash can icon. Make your changes, and click "Save," or click "Save & New" if you wish to add a new entry.



Deleting


To delete a punch, hour entry, or monetary entry, select the entry from the employee's time card, and click the trash can icon on the right end of the entry.




Click "Yes" to delete the entry.


Exceptions

Exceptions happen when punches are unable to properly pair up.


An Exception can be corrected by adding, editing, or deleting a punch entry.
